Supplication for Breaking the Fast

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وثَبَتَ اْلأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَاللهُ

dhahabadh-dhama'u wabtallatil-'uruqu wa thabatal-ajru insha allah

پیاس ختم ہو گئی، رگیں تر ہو گئیں اور اجر ثابت ہو گیا، ان شاء اللہ۔

Invocations for breaking the fast

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي

Allahumma inne as-aluka birahmatikal-latee wasi‘at kulla shay, an taghfira lee.

O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy which envelopes all things, that You forgive me.

Invocation for a family who invites you to break your fast with them

أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ، وَأَكَلَ طَعَامَكُمُ الْأَبْرَارُ، وَصَلَّتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ

Aftara ‘indakumus-sa-imoon, wa-akala ta‘amakumul-abrar, wasallat ‘alaykumul-mala-ikah.

May the fasting break their fast in your home, and may the dutiful and pious eat your food, and may the angels send prayers upon you.

Invocation for someone who offers you food when you are fasting, which you decline

«إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ، فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِماً فَلْيُصَلِّ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِراً فَلْيَطْعَمْ»، وَمَعْنَى فَلْيُصَلِّ أَيْ فَلْيَدْعُ

If you are not invited (to a meal) then answer. If you happen to be fasting, then supplicate (for those present) and if you are not fasting, then eat.

What to say when you are fasting and someone is rude to you

إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

Innee sa-im, innee sa-im.

I am fasting, I am fasting.
