Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Devrige collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the Al-Noor Islam mobile application and related services.

By using Al-Noor Islam, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, you should stop using the app.

• Account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and login details when you create or manage an account.
• Profile and community content that you choose to provide, such as posts, comments, preferences, or other app activity.
• Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, diagnostics, crash logs, and feature usage.
• Payment or subscription status when purchases are handled through an app store or payment provider.
• Advertising information when you use the free version of the app, including a device advertising identifier, IP address, and your interaction with the ads shown. See “Advertising” below.
• Support communications, including messages you send to us and the contact details needed to respond.

• To provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the app and its features.
• To authenticate users, manage accounts, process support requests, and send service-related notices.
• To monitor app performance, troubleshoot bugs, protect against misuse, and improve security.
• To enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights of users and Devrige.
• To communicate updates, policy changes, or other information relevant to the app.

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to find and fix crashes. Google processes this data on our behalf as a service provider. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers or use it to target ads.

This section covers analytics and crash reporting only. The advertising shown in the free version of the app is separate, and is described under “Advertising” below.

What we send

• App activity: the screens you open and the actions you take, such as opening a surah, favouriting a masjid, or completing a purchase.
• Search terms you type into the masjid search.
• A random account identifier, plus whether the account is Pro and its role. This identifier is not your name or email and cannot be read as personal details on its own.
• Crash reports: the error, the technical stack trace, and the app version, device model, and operating system.
• Failed network requests: the API path with any record identifiers removed, the HTTP status code, and the error type.

What we never send

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, password, login tokens, purchase tokens, the contents of your requests or our responses, or your precise location to analytics or crash reporting.

Your control

Analytics and crash reporting are optional. You can turn them off at any time in the app under Profile → Privacy → “Share usage & crash data”. Turning it off stops both immediately, and applies whether or not you are signed in.

The free version of the app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). Ads appear as banners on the home and Quran screens, as an in-feed native ad on the home screen, and as an occasional full-screen ad. Al-Noor Islam Pro removes all advertising; if you subscribe, no ads are requested or shown.

What Google receives

When an ad is requested, Google acts as an independent advertising provider rather than as our service provider, and receives information directly from your device. This typically includes:

• A device advertising identifier — on Android, the Google Advertising ID.
• Your IP address, from which a coarse location such as your country or city can be derived.
• Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language, and the app the ad was shown in.
• Your interaction with the ad, such as whether it was displayed, viewed, or tapped.

Google may use this information to select ads, to measure and report on ad performance, and to detect fraud and invalid activity. Where it is permitted in your region, the ads you see may be personalised based on this information. Google handles it under its own privacy policy and its Advertising Terms, not under this policy.

We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, account credentials, or the contents of your requests for advertising purposes. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

Your control

• Subscribe to Al-Noor Islam Pro. Ads stop entirely, on every screen.
• On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads to reset or delete your advertising ID. Deleting it stops apps, including this one, from receiving a stable identifier for advertising.
• On iOS, the app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, so Google does not receive the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) from us.
• You can review and change what Google uses to personalise ads for you at myadcenter.google.com.

Turning off “Share usage & crash data” in the app controls analytics and crash reporting only. It does not stop ads, because advertising is handled by Google rather than by our analytics.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app, including hosting, analytics, authentication, messaging, maps, customer support, and payment services.
In the free version of the app we also work with Google AdMob to serve advertising. Google acts as an independent advertising provider rather than as our service provider, and receives information directly from your device as described under “Advertising” above.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect users and the public, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.

• You may update certain account information from within the app where those controls are available.
• You may turn analytics and crash reporting off at any time under Profile → Privacy → “Share usage & crash data”, whether or not you are signed in.
• You may remove advertising entirely by subscribing to Al-Noor Islam Pro, and you may reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. See “Advertising” above.
• You may request account deletion through the app or by contacting us.
• You may control some device permissions, notifications, and app access through your device settings.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Al-Noor Islam is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
