Jama’ah times from the masjid, not from a formula
Calculated prayer times tell you when a prayer begins. They cannot tell you when your masjid actually prays. In Al Noor every jama’ah and iqamah time is published by the masjid or by the people who pray there, and it shows next to the distance so you walk in on time.

Al Noor: Prayer Times & Qibla is a free Islamic app published by Devrige. It gathers daily worship essentials into one app: precise prayer times with adhan reminders, the complete Quran with translations and recitation, a referenced Hadith library, a Qibla compass, a qaza (missed prayer) tracker, daily duas, and a finder for nearby masjids with their jama’ah timings. This website, Al-Noor Islam, is its official site. Several similarly named apps exist, so check the developer name before you install.
Is Al Noor free?
Yes. Prayer times, the full Quran, Hadith, the masjid finder, the Qibla compass, duas and the qaza tracker are all free. Some screens show ads, and an optional ad-free Pro plan supports development. You never need to pay to pray on time.
Where does the app work?
Prayer times, the Qibla compass, the Quran and the Hadith library work anywhere in the world; prayer times are computed from your GPS location or a city you choose. The masjid finder shows masjids wherever listings exist, and coverage grows as masjids and the community submit and verify them.
How are prayer times calculated?
Times are computed from your precise location or a chosen city using one of 23 calculation methods, including Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, University of Karachi and the Egyptian General Authority, plus your Asr school (Hanafi or Standard) and a high-latitude rule. You can offset any individual prayer by hand. Masjid jama’ah and iqamah times come from the masjid itself, not from a calculation.
Which Quran scripts, translations and reciters are included?
All 114 surahs in Uthmani, IndoPak and QPC (King Fahd Complex) scripts, with word-by-word meanings and translations in 16 languages. Recitation is available from 65 reciters, including Mishary Alafasy, Saad Al-Ghamdi and Saud Ash-Shuraim, with per-surah offline download and follow-along translation.
Are the Hadith authentic and referenced?
The library draws on ten classical collections: Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Jami’ at-Tirmidhi, Sunan an-Nasaʾi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Muwatta Malik, the forty hadith of Imam an-Nawawi, the Hadith Qudsi and the collection of Shah Waliullah. Every hadith shows its book, chapter and number in Arabic alongside the translation so you can verify it.
Where does the masjid data come from, and how is it kept accurate?
Masjid listings combine public sources with community submissions. Verified masjid admins can claim their masjid to keep jama’ah timings, facilities and events current, and anyone can submit a masjid or a correction from inside the app for review.
Which platforms is it on, and does it work offline?
The app is live on Android. Search Google Play for Al Noor: Prayer Times & Qibla by Devrige, or use the download button on this page. An iOS version is in development. Prayer times, the Qibla compass, downloaded surahs and saved Hadith work offline; live masjid data and audio streaming need a connection.
What are verse cards?
Verse cards turn any ayah into a shareable image or short video. Choose a background, show the Arabic with its translation, loop the recitation and export it. You can also make one in your browser on this site.
How is my privacy handled?
An account is optional and your data is never sold. The app requests only the permissions a feature needs: location is used for prayer times and the masjid finder, and only when you grant it. You can read the privacy policy or permanently delete your account and data at any time.
