Surah 104

Surah Al-Humaza

Surah Al-Humaza (The Traducer) is chapter 104 of the Holy Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 9 verses. Read the full surah below in Arabic with its translation.

Meccan9 Versesسُورَةُ الهُمَزَةِ

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Translation
  1. 104:1

    وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍۢ لُّمَزَةٍ ١

    Woe to every backbiter, slanderer

  2. 104:2

    ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًۭا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ ٢

    who amasses wealth ˹greedily˺ and counts it ˹repeatedly˺

  3. 104:3

    يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ ٣

    thinking that their wealth will make them immortal

  4. 104:4

    كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ ٤

    Not at all! Such a person will certainly be tossed into the Crusher

    وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ ٥

    And what will make you realize what the Crusher is

    نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ ٦

    ˹It is˺ Allah’s kindled Fire

    ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ ٧

    which rages over the hearts

    إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ ٨

    It will be sealed over them

    فِى عَمَدٍۢ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ ٩

    ˹tightly secured˺ with long braces
