Surah Al-Asr

Surah Al-Asr (The Declining Day, Epoch) is chapter 103 of the Holy Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 3 verses. Read the full surah below in Arabic with its translation.

Meccan3 Versesسُورَةُ العَصۡرِ

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Translation
  1. 103:1

    وَٱلْعَصْرِ ١

    By the ˹passage of˺ time

    إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ ٢

    Surely humanity is in ˹grave˺ loss

    إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ ٣

    except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance
